Maintaining the status quo in a company is a surefire way to achieve anything but the status quo. Change remains the only thing that stays the same; everything is constantly charging around us regardless of what we do to stop it.
As leaders, we must promote a constant state of evolution. What’s good must get better; what’s better must be done faster; faster has to be achieved with higher levels of accuracy. Do that, and you achieve Status Grow.
Status Grow is a process through which something grows at least a notch better every single day. That something could be a key aspect of customer service, an incremental boost to the speed of the sales process, or even a one micron improvement in the accuracy of the machining of a part. Status Grow accumulates over time into increased customer satisfaction, improved sales, reduced labor intensity, leaps in revenue, and significantly higher profit margins.
Go with the grow as it’s much better than the fallacy of status quo.
